Are you interested in learning how control invasive species and working on some of the town’s conservation land to do so?

The Boxborough Land Stewards has just joined the “Weed Warriors” program managed by our regional land trust organization, Sudbury Valley Trustees (SVT). The goal of this program is to have a unified force of trained volunteers to tackle invasive species management throughout the Sudbury, Assabet and Concord River (SuAsCo) Watershed.

Weed Warriors tackled a lot of invasive plants in May at three work parties, resulting in the transformation seen in the latest issue of Common Ground (https://bctrust.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/BCT-Summer-2026_FINAL.pdf)

New Fall dates added! Sept 26/27th dates have been shifted to Oct 10/11th because of the rain forecasted.

Please contact Land Stewards Coordinator Dave Barnett at dbarnett@boxborough-ma.gov if you plan to attend either or both of these events, or are interested in learning more about the Weed Warriors program and being informed about future training or work events.
