Annual Art Contest

Every year, Blanchard Memorial School fourth grade students are invited to design art that illustrates native animals, insects, or habitats of Boxborough.  With the guidance of  their art teacher, Mrs. Eileen Barnett, the children create an original piece of art work.

BCTrust awards a first, second, and third place, as well as several honorable mentions. The award-winning work is then printed as a t-shirt or note card and becomes a source of great pride for the students, their families, and the school.

In this way, the BCTrust fosters a sense of community  between the school and town, bridges the generations, and encourages our youngest citizens to take pride in and protect the natural beauty of Boxborough.

This year, Spring 2021, four winners exemplified the theme “Protect Pollinators!” with their beautiful artwork!

Award-winning 4th Grade Artists: Hanna Bialowolska, Kiley Lyons (L to R, top row), and Cate Warrington and Isla Weir (L to R, bottom row)
